Brandin's Visit

Brandin came to visit us in July. He stayed for two weeks. We last saw him in December, and he has really grown! He's now over 6 feet tall (taller than his Dad and as tall as his Uncle Chris). His little sisters look incredibly tiny in his arms.

The guys went ATV riding and had a really good time. They also caught up with Chris and Grandpa in Augusta for the drag boat races. Wives aren't invited (wouldn't be caught dead, is more like it) on this trip, and while we can only speculate what really goes on, they appear to have had a great time. Things got a little tense at the end when several tornadoes came through the area, but all our guys got out safe, thankfully.

Brandin has started his sophomore year and turns 16 next month. He's working on getting his learners' permit and we'll soon have another driver in the family.

8/3/05

We're very happy to find a way to share updates about us and the girls. We will do our best to update it regularly and provide good updates on how everyone is doing (and post new pics). The girls are doing very well. They are 8 months old now - how time flies!

Kayley weighs just over 18 lbs, has just cut her first two bottom teeth and is working on a top one. She is sitting up very prettily and is working hard at figuring out how to crawl. Her big blue eyes are as beautiful as ever and she has the most wonderful laugh.

Kristyn weighs almost 12 1/2 lbs and is almost "on the curve" in terms of her size. Her heart is doing fine, but we have had a terrible time with reflux. She's on several medications now to control it and they definitely help. She is getting physical therapy every week to help with her physical development. Since she's so small, she has gotten behind and is working hard to catch up with her sister. She's working on sitting up unassisted. She holds her head very well and has a terrific squeal that expresses her delight. She's coming in to her own and is a beautiful little baby.

We have a new nanny. Unfortunately, Kate had to go back to Poland. We were very sorry to see her leave us, but we now have Laura, a very nice recent college grad from Kansas. She came to us last weekend, so we are all busy getting acquainted. She's very good with the girls and I think things will work out very well.
