Brandin gets his first truck

Brandin Williams is the proud owner of a V-6 extended cab Ford Ranger pick-up. His mom and stepdad found the truck in So.Cal and had it trailered up to Lake Havasu City, AZ where he lives. I tried to caution him on purchasing a Ford, but he takes after his Grandpa Lew Williams and late Grandfather Glenn Algea and likes to drive those Fords. Fortunately, he carries his BMX bicycle around in back of the truck, so if he breaks down he can ride his bike home. Congratulations Brandin! We're very proud of you.

Spring, Spring!

My, how time flies by...While things are never dull around the Williams' house, we have settled into a bit of a routine. The girls are just about 18 months old now and doing very well. Kayley is 22 lbs and walking - almost ready to run - all around the house. Kristyn is just under 17lbs and is speed-crawling and cruising the furniture. She's working hard on balancing herself standing up without holding on. She'll be walking very soon and then I'll have two toddlers on my hands.

Their hair is growing longer and we pull it up into two little pigtails on each of the girls. They look like little (big) girls instead of babies. This is a fun age, though. As they are learning new words, mimicing us, and learning to express themselves, it is fun to watch them.

They had their first Easter Egg Hunt this year at Saundra's parents house. The weather was really warm and beautiful. Neither of them really cared much about looking for the eggs, but once they had them, the girls had great fun playing with them.

We took them to the beach Easter weekend. Kayley wanted to run after all the seagulls, calling "puppy, puppy!" We knew that she associated "puppy" with our dog, Bailey, but didn't realize that she also associates it with other small creatures. Oops!

Kayley was eager to try the water, but it was quite cold. Still, she wanted to play in it. Kristyn, on the other hand, wanted nothing to do with sand under her feet or the water. We'll be working on that...

The girls are taking a music class one morning a week through the end of May. It is an age-appropriate designed class for newborns through preschoolers. It is supposed to instill an early appreciation for music. I don't know about the long term impacts, but they both enjoy the songs and dancing and especially playing with the drums, jingle bells, shakers and other instruments. This is the first group setting I've exposed them to with other children. It's my first attempt at socializing them to interact with other kids. In June, we'll be taking swimming lessons.

Eric is now driving to Duluth, GA for work. It is a very long drive. We have decided to move closer, which will put on on the northeast side of Atlanta. We are having a house built and hope to be moving in October. We really hate to leave Woodstock, but after 11 years, I guess it's time to go.

I have some new pictures that will be online shortly.
