Summertime Changes

I am very happy to report that Miss Kristyn is finally walking!

She started taking steps about the first of June and now is walking (still a little trepidaciously) all over the house. Our goal was to help her to walk by 18 months, and she made it. With this, she is nearly caught up with her sister in terms of gross motor development. Now, we will focus on her verbal skills with speech therapy.

Kayley is picking up new words daily. She has learned that the "puppy" has a name and she does her best to pronounce "Bailey!" She has also started greeting her sister in the mornings with "Hi, Baby!"

Next week, the girls will have a new au pair. Kasia is joining us from Poland. We are very happy she is coming to stay with us and look forward to a long friendship. Our Kansas nanny is moving on to other things. Unfortunately, things did not end the way we would have liked. But within a few months, the girls will have largely forgotten her and we will all be getting nicely attached to our new au pair.

We're headed to the beach for the 4th of July, so I'll have some new pictures to post when we get back! Brandin is coming to visit us also in a couple of weeks, so we'll have more pictures with him as well.
